Our Living Sacrifice

» By Grace Travesser | 6:31 PM

On December 20, 2008, right after Michael’s trial, and before he was sentenced, I started making a movie about him — what he had done for us, and what he was doing for us. I called it “My Living Sacrifice.”

When Michael wrote his January 2010 letter to us, My Sacrifice, sharing some of the details of what he has experienced, it struck a chord in me and the inspiration came to finish the movie and share with the world the heart of the entire Bride of Christ for Our Beloved, living Sacrifice. [Song lyrics and more below.]

Surely He Has Borne Our Griefs
Larnelle Harris, Michael English, Steve Green

Surely, surely, He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows
Surely, surely, He hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows
He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised, he was bruised for our iniquities…
Surely, surely He has borne our griefs

The Lamb
Donald Lawrence

Who’d ever thought a Lamb would die for me.
Who’d ever thought a Lamb would change my life.
I never knew a Lamb would save me.
I never knew a Lamb would stake my claim.

Lamb that was slain, took all my pain,
Price He paid, sacrifice He made;
Who’d ever thought a Lamb.
Glory to the Lamb.

Who’d ever thought a Lamb would cover me,
Take all my sins and wash them white as snow.
Lamb of God, pure and holy,
Passion so strong, He took the cross for me.

Lamb that was slain, took all my pain,
Price He paid, sacrifice He made;
Who’d ever thought a Lamb.
Glory to the Lamb.

Hallelujah to the Lamb,
I’ll sing glory, precious Lamb.

Lamb that was slain, took all my pain,
Price He paid, sacrifice He made;
Who’d ever thought a Lamb….

Who’d ever thought — a Lamb.

As we were preparing Michael’s letter, “My Sacrifice,” and this movie for posting, Father strongly brought to my mind the following scriptures that foretold the details of the coming of the Lamb of God the second time, and how those details have been fulfilled by the current sacrifice of Michael in prison, and in the healing, saving work he has done in our hearts and minds during the last ten years.

I saw a Lamb standing among the Elders.
He looked as if He had been offered in sacrifice,
and He had seven horns and seven eyes.
The last named are the seven Spirits of God,
and have been sent far and wide into all the earth….
And they cried in a loud voice — ‘Worthy is the Lamb
that was sacrificed to receive all power, and wealth, and wisdom,
and might, and honor, and praise, and blessing.’”

Revelation 5:6,12

“Christ, having at his first coming taken on himself the sins of men,
will be seen a second time, without sin,
by those who are waiting for him, for their salvation.”

Hebrews 9:27,28

“When he came into the world, he said, You had no desire for offerings,
but you made a body ready for me
[the Body of Christ];
Then he said, See, I have come to do your pleasure.
He took away the old order, so that he might put the new order in its place.”

Hebrews 9:6-9

Worthy is the Lamb Michael
